You’ve done the work… read the books, tried traditional therapy, and practiced mindfulness. Yet, you may still notice 'mom rage,' old childhood wounds resurfacing, or a sense that you understand your patterns but struggle to fully shift them. Many high-achieving moms explore ketamine or psilocybin experiences because they are ready for deeper healing, not quick fixes.

Yet you may still notice:

  • Emotional reactions that feel bigger than you expect

  •  Mom rage or overwhelm that shows up despite your best intentions

  •  Old childhood wounds resurfacing during parenting

  •  Feeling disconnected from yourself, your partner, or your joy

  • A sense that you understand your patterns but struggle to fully shift them

Many high-achieving moms begin exploring ketamine or psilocybin experiences because they’re ready for deeper healing, not quick fixes, but meaningful transformation.

Preparation and integration therapy helps ensure those experiences translate into lasting, real-life change.

Rachel Zavertnik, LCSW, providing psychedelic integration therapy and IFS for moms in Portland, OR

I offer trauma-informed psychotherapy to support clients preparing for and integrating legally obtained ketamine or psilocybin experiences. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), Inner Child healing, attachment repair, and nervous system regulation, integration therapy helps clients make meaning of their experience and create lasting emotional change.

NOTE: I do not provide or administer psychedelic substances or attend medicine sessions.

My role is to support psychological preparation and post-experience integration.

Available online in Oregon, Washington, and Massachusetts, with in-person sessions in Portland, Oregon.

  • Preparation and integration therapy helps you emotionally and psychologically prepare for and process experiences with ketamine or psilocybin. Sessions focus on clarifying intentions, strengthening emotional safety, understanding insights, and applying healing breakthroughs to everyday life, parenting, and relationships.

  • No. I do not provide, administer, or sit with clients during psychedelic experiences. I provide psychotherapy support before and after legally obtained experiences through licensed providers or approved service centers.

  • Psychedelic experiences can open powerful emotional and neurological pathways. Without preparation and integration support, insights can feel overwhelming or difficult to apply in daily life. Therapy helps turn meaningful experiences into lasting emotional healing and behavioral change.

  • When done in a trauma-informed and paced way, integration therapy can be deeply supportive. We focus heavily on emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and moving at a pace that feels manageable for you. Preparation therapy is especially helpful for clients with trauma histories.

  • No. Many clients start preparation therapy while exploring their options. I can help you think through readiness, questions to ask providers, and how to evaluate whether an experience feels aligned with your goals and safety.

  • With your written permission, I can collaborate with your provider or clinic when helpful to support continuity of care. You are always in control of what information is shared.

  • This work is often a strong fit if you are:

    • A motivated, growth-oriented adult
    • Exploring or completing ketamine or psilocybin experiences
    • Interested in trauma-informed and attachment-based healing
    • Wanting lasting emotional and relational change
    • Ready to approach your inner world with curiosity and compassion

Frequently Asked Questions

  • IFS helps you understand and heal the different “parts” inside you that hold pain, fear, protective patterns, and inner criticism. Many clients find psychedelic experiences naturally bring awareness to these parts. IFS provides a safe, structured way to process and integrate those experiences for long-term healing.

  • Not at all. Many clients begin therapy before an experience to prepare emotionally, clarify goals, and build grounding skills. Others begin therapy after an experience to process insights, emotions, or challenges that surfaced.

  • Yes. Many high-achieving moms seek this work because psychedelic experiences often bring up childhood attachment wounds, emotional overwhelm, and protective patterns that show up in parenting. Integration therapy helps you process these experiences and build calmer, more connected parenting responses.

  • Yes. Challenging experiences can still be deeply meaningful and healing when processed with professional support. Integration therapy helps you safely unpack emotions, understand symbolism or memories that surfaced, and reduce lingering distress.

  • Yes. Preparation and integration therapy is available via secure telehealth throughout Oregon, Washington, and Massachusetts. In-person sessions may be available in Portland, Oregon when scheduling allows.

  • This varies depending on your goals, the type of experience, and your history. Some clients schedule short-term integration support, while others continue therapy for deeper trauma and attachment healing. We collaboratively determine what feels most supportive for you.

  • We begin with a 20-minute consultation ($25) to discuss your goals, answer questions, and explore whether this work feels like a good fit. If it does, we schedule a longer intake session and create a personalized therapy plan
